Whether you’ve just booked with us, or have just completed your photo session with us, here are some of our most common questions, answered!

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

What should we wear?
Here’s a link to our styling guide There’s links to clothing sites that we recommend, as well as example photos. To sum it up, avoid being too matchy-matchy, avoid bright/neon color tones, logos of any kind, and very busy patterns. Stick to lightweight fabrics, and clothing that you feel good in! Neutrals and warmer color tones are our favorite to photograph. Warmer color tones literally warm up your skin tone/complexion while cooler colors can pull away from the warmth in your complexion. Photography is an investment, we recommend dressing for the occasion vs wearing your everyday attire.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due the day of your session. An invoice will be sent to your email.
What if the weather looks bad?
The forecast is pretty unpredictable some days. We try to make the final call about weather, within 3-4 hours before the session time, but be prepared for last minute reschedules if the forecast changes closer to your session time. It happens! If your session is during rainy season, we don’t recommend booking hair/makeup services. But if you do, please keep an eye on the forecast as well and let us know so we can have an action plan earlier on.
What if we want a different location?
If you’d like to use a location off the Locations List, just discuss it with us! We use the locations we recommend because we are already familiar with the great areas to photograph and what looks best. Keep in mind, we may charge an additional travel fee for other locations.
What should we bring?
Just yourselves! Dressed to impress. A second outfit is an option if you’d like to change halfway through the session (for collection one and two photo sessions). We like to photograph natural moments and make the images about YOU and your families, so no need to bring anything special for the photos. I recommend having a towel, and a comfy change of clothes for the ride home if your session is at the beach. Bottled water, or non-messy snacks for the kids are also a great idea.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
How/when will we receive our photos?
We will email you a “proof gallery” between 7-10 days after the session. Allow closer to 10 days during busy season to receive the proof gallery (Oct - Feb). The lighting and color adjustments I apply to each and every image in the proof gallery takes some time as we put a high priority on quality and consistency in our edits.
After you make your selections to the proof gallery, expect your final completed gallery around 2-3 weeks after making your selections. Note that this timeline can exceed 3 weeks if you’ve selected additional photos that need retouching, but we can provide you with an expected delivery on those upon selecting.

How much are additional photos?
Additional photos are $20 each. There is no obligation to select extra photos, but it is always an available option!
**We don’t release any un-retouched or unedited photos for download. Any images that are released will be the number of photos that are included in the package you selected, or will be purchased after the fact, if you select extra photos.
Do we get a sneak peek?
No. Since there’s a set number of photos based on the package you’ve purchased, we normally do not send out a sneak peek unless otherwise communicated or special circumstance brought to our attention.
